Terms and Conditions

UK Dive Trips, Training Courses, Foreign Holidays, Equipment Rental, Social Events and Special Offers.

It is assumed that anybody taking part in dive trips, training courses, foreign holidays, UK holidays, social events and the hiring of rental equipment through Ocean Devotion Diving agrees to the published Terms and Conditions below.

Terms and Conditions may be changed without prior notice by Ocean Devotion Diving.

All offers and benefits are subject to availability.

Special Offers cannot be combined unless specifically identified.

Advanced booking is required to attend ALL events and trips.

Participants in all events and activities do so entirely at their own risk, and release all other parties involved from any liability for any loss or injury occuring. (ie Ocean Devotion Diving, Instructors and other professional members of staff and other participants).

Participants must maintain their qualifications by diving regularly and/or participating in skills review practice or training.

All participants must follow standard safe diving practices of their training agency.
(PADI - BSAC - SAA - SSI - TDI - IANTD etc)

HOLIDAYS

Booking is secured by payment of the stated deposit on all holidays.

Deposits on trips vary depending on the Tour Company requirements.

Deposits may be paid with credit cards incurring a 2% surcharge.

Balance is due 10 working days before Tour Operator requirements.

Balance payments made with a credit card incur a 2% surcharge.

Holiday prices may change until full payment is received and according to Tour Operator terms and conditions.

Holiday rates do not include Visa's or local taxes unless identified.

Proof of holiday insurance is required for everyone.

Refunds for holidays will only be made at the discretion of the Tour Company it is booked through.

No refund is possible once flights are ticketed.

Booking deposit is non refundable.

Divers must have appropriate equipment including: Standard scuba equipment, dive computer, knife, torch, DSMB and reel, compass, a signalling device (eg. whistle) and a spares kit.

UK DAY DIVES

Full payment must be made at time of booking for all dive charter trips.

Cancellation by the diver with less than 14 days notice forfeits full payment unless a replacement can be found.

Credit card refunds may incur further surcharges.

In the unlikely event that trips are cancelled by Ocean Devotion Diving we will try to rearrange the trip or provide a refund if we can't.

Day dives run on dive charter boats may be cancelled by the boat operator due to safety, weather concerns or boat problems. Refunds will be made as and when the boat operator makes them.

TRAINING COURSES

All courses must be booked in advance with full payment being made at the time of booking.

The cost of the course does not include entry fees to open water training venues and air fills at the open water site.

Courses can be cancelled by customers for any reason up to 7 days after booking and a refund of the course fee paid less a £25 admininstration charge will be made, providing the course has not commenced. Cancellations made 7 days after booking or within 7 days of commencement of the course or if the course has already started, will incur a further charge at the discretion of Ocean Devotion Diving unless for medical reasons supported by a doctor's certificate .

Refunds will be given on Training Materials if returned unused in the original packaging accompanied by the receipt of purchase from Ocean Devotion Diving.

Course dates can be re-arranged with at least 14 days notice at no cost.

If courses are re-arranged by Ocean Devotion Diving due to weather or logistical reasons, alternative dates will be given. If students cannot make these dates then credit notes will be issued.

Students must complete the necessary knowledge development coursework prior to all training courses. Failure of this requirement will result in postponement and rescheduling of course dates and will incur a £50 charge.

Non attendance by students at pre booked pool sessions will incur a £50 charge unless 24 hours notice is given by the student. This does not apply if cancellation is due to medical reasons but notice must be given by telephone as soon as possible.

Children (10-15 years) are welcome to participate in pool training provided they have the physical, intellectual and behavioural maturity to do so as determined by the Ocean Devotion Diving staff and parents/guardians in discussion.

Children may only participate in qualifying dives in the UK when environmental conditions are favourable; normally restricted to June to October.

Scuba equipment (BCD, regulators, wetsuit, cylinders, weight system, mask, snorkel and fins) will be provided for all recreational courses.

Students using their own equipment on a course must ensure that all equipment is well maintained and in good working order.

EQUIPMENT RENTAL

Proof of appropriate qualification will be required to rent any diving equipment from Ocean Devotion Diving.

Divers accept full responsibility for the care and maintenance of all rented equipment and must return it in full working order. Damage to or failure to return rented equipment will result in charges for repair or replacement being levied up to the following amounts:

Equipment rentals must be pre-booked and paid for in advance, a deposit on equipment will be charged.

Equipment returned later than the agreed date will be charged at the daily rate.

MEMBERSHIP

Free pool sessions - Limited to Friday club nights at Erith Leisure Centre

Free air fills - Limited to air fills for personal consumption in relation to recreational diving and do not include nitrox fills. Fair use policy as dictated by Ocean Devotion Diving applies.

Free club slap strap - Limited to one per member

Courtesy equipment is provided whilst members own equipment is serviced via Ocean Devotion Diving and is strictly subject to availability.

The cost of subscription to the PADI Diving Society and Sport Diver magazine is governed by their current rates and is subject to change without prior notice.

The Terms and Conditions as set out above by Ocean Devotion Diving do not affect your statutory rights.
